And the meeting got going when I pulled out my +3 battle ax

Sometimes I really miss Dungeons and Dragons. I think I'll ask for an XBox 360 and Everquest for my B-day/Christmas, so I can spend about an hour a day in a drooling cocoon, trying to figure out how to break the lock to the Temple of Cocoluchia.

I'd organize a playing group, but few people above 25 can play without laughing at themselves.

I'm in! I've got a level 6 cleric who has been inactive for 15-20 years just itching for a battle!

My favorite character was "Jacque the Bowman." He was a bowman. He was also French, primarily so I could do the accent. I think he was level 4 before he ran into a circle of bad mojo or something and died, because the pussy wizards who could've detected it were hanging out at the back of the group, as usual. Useless.

Of course they hang out in the back of the group. Wizards aren't for leading. They have to stand back so they can apply helpful spells to your effing Bowman. It's hardly the wizards' fault that Jack sucked at hand-to-hand. I never understood how "France" appeared in the Palidin Underworld anyway.

That's Jacque. Damnit. Dog.
